Ballet/Tap Combo Ages 3 through 6
Students will learn basic ballet and tap vocabulary and class structure. There will be an emphasis on correct posture and positioning. Students will focus on developing ballet and tap technique and reinforce their physical strength, flexibility, and musicality. Individual expression through dance is encouraged at this level.
Pre Ballet Ages 7 through 9
Students will continue to learn basic ballet vocabulary, technique, and class structure. There will be a continued emphasis on correct posture, positioning, and basic ballet steps. Students will focus on developing ballet technique and reinforce their physical strength. Individual expression through dance is encouraged at this level.
Ballet I Ages 8 through 10
Students continue to learn ballet technique and vocabulary while they develop strength, flexibility, and musicality. More complex step combinations at the barre and in the center at introduced at this level. Individual expression through dance is encouraged at this level.
Ballet II Ages 10 and up (Instructor evaluation required)
Students will strengthen their ballet technique while learning the art of performance. Combinations continue to increase in difficulty. This level also prepares students for future pointe work. Emphasis is on the enjoyment of dance within the respect and discipline of classical ballet training.
Ballet III Ages 11 and up (Instructor placement required)
Students will continue to strengthen their ballet technique, flexibility, and performance. Combinations continue to increase in difficulty and variations are introduced at this level. Beginning and Intermediate Pointe classes are offered at this level. Emphasis is on the enjoyment of dance within the respect and discipline of classical ballet training.
Pre Professional/Advanced Ages 13 and up (Instructor placement required)
This program is designed for dancers who have decided to make ballet a real priority. Students will continue to strengthen their ballet technique, flexibility and performance levels. Students will take on more demanding steps and complex sequences of movement eventually mastering advanced technical skill, articulation, musicality, and expression. Variation, Advanced Pointe and Partnering are included in this level.
Beginning/Intermediate Pointe Ages 11 and up (Instructor placement required)
Students will learn exercises necessary to strengthen and prepare the body to handle the physical demands and responsibilities of pointe work. Students must have several years of proper ballet training and will be notified by the ballet instructor when ready to start pointe.
Advanced Pointe Ages 13 and up (Instructor placement required)
Students will continue to learn exercises necessary to strengthen and prepare the body to handle the physical demands and responsibilities of pointe work. Students will take on more demanding steps and complex sequences of movement. Variations and partnering are introduced at this level.
Adult Ballet Ages 18 and up
This class includes ballet instruction from beginner level through intermediate. Ballet technique at the barre, center work and across the floor is taught.
High School Beginning Ballet Ages 13 and up
Students will learn the basics of ballet technique, strength, flexibility, musicality, and coordination. This class is designed to help the recreational dancer improve on dance technique and strength.
Contemporary Beginning and Intermediate Ages 9 and up
This class is designed to teach a style of dance that integrates elements of classical ballet with movement deriving from the expression of inner feeling. Students will learn how to move the body in a more relaxed state of mind while flowing through movements and increasing their musicality.
Advanced Contemporary Ages 13 and up (Instructor placement required)
This class continues to dive into the many facets of modern and contemporary dance for advanced dancers. Students are expected to use their ballet technique and create new lines and forms of movement. Horton technique is taught to strengthen and stretch the body.
Jazz Beginning and Intermediate Ages 9 and up
Students will learn basic and intermediate jazz combinations including center work, technique, across the floor, stretching and coordination.
Advanced Jazz Ages 13 and up (Instructor placement required)
This is an advanced class designed to focus on proper across the floor and center floor technique within the Jazz genre. Leaps/jumps, turns, advanced combinations, strength, and flexibility are emphasized in this class.
Tap Beginning and Intermediate Ages 9 and up
This class focuses on coordination, rhythm and tap technique. Proper terminology and technique are emphasized at this level.
Tap Intermediate and Advanced 12 and up (Instructor Placement required)
This class continues to focuses on coordination, rhythm and tap technique. More complicated combinations and rhythms are taught at this level.
“Mommy” and Me Music

Home School Co-Op Dance Class
This is a mixed level Co-Op dance class for ages 6 and up. The program offers 4 weeks of Jazz, 4 weeks of Ballet, 4 weeks of Musical Theater and 4 weeks of Tap. This class is offered in the Fall and in the Spring.
